Villa Dalegno, Temù

Geological analysis of the stones that make up “Villa Dalegno”, a rural house in the country- side. The stones are embedded in a block of ice and arranged in chronological order the old- est from the left, the youngest to the right. We have identified 7 families of rocks, the oldest is over a billion years old, the youngest is about 600 million years old.
Stone, the reference for aperto_2012, is the common ground and the physical horizon of mountain territories; it is a ‘site specific’ material that has historically been used for ter- races, roads, and buildings.
